Lauren Blumenfeld has played an eclectic range of characters—from Olive Oyl, to Jesus Christ, to Barack Obama, to a celestial being, named Ava. She is the voice of a whimsical unicorn on the DreamWorks animated series and is also the voice of a neurotic blue car for Chevron. In March 2019, Stepdaddy (a short film co-created, co-produced, and starring Lauren) premiered at SXSW and won the Audience Choice Golden Space Needle Award at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF)! Stepdaddy is screening at deadCenter, Frameline43, OutFest, Mixt Milano, Rooftop Films, Monmouth, Walla Walla Movie Crush, Q Fest, Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival, and many more festivals to be announced soon! And stay tuned for Lauren’s directorial debut with the documentary short, Doggy Club (about her Grandma Nita’s doggy club. She’s obsessed). Lauren is a 2019 Orchard Project Episodic Writing Fellow and is currently developing Early Retirement, a television series inspired by guess who? (Grandma Nita. Duh).
Lauren has appeared on Broadway in Manhattan Theatre Club's Tony nominated, The Assembled Parties by Richard Greenberg and Off-Broadway in Soho's Rep's Obie Award winning, twice extended, We Are Proud To Present... by Jackie Siblies Drury.
